Goal setting is a process in which we create our ideal future, a way to be intentional about our career path and accomplishments, and a concrete way to achieve the success we envision. Effective goal setting includes developing an action plan which includes: goals, action items, timelines for completion, resources and support needed, and strategies to overcome obstacles.
