Career Assessments

"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us."

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Self-assessments are used in conjunction with career counseling to determine career values, interests, and accomplishments. These tools begin the career exploration and planning process in addition to providing information on areas of academic study and professional development needed to achieve career goals.

Assessments can identify the following:

  • Work Types
  • Aptitudes and Training Potential
  • Values
  • Ideal Work Preferences
  • Career Types
  • Career Drivers
  • Work Activity Interests
  • Strengths
  • Accomplishments
Assessments assist individuals in determining possible job titles and career paths to ensure a good fit and achieve long-term goals and objectives. The assessment tools utilized in the Career Center are administered at no cost to the employee.

If you are interested in taking a career assessment, schedule an appointment with a career consultant who will determine what assessment is appropriate for you. The Career Center has developed a self-paced guide with multiple assessments.  The guide will integrate all the assessment information which will provide a clear picture of who you are. To access and download the guide, click here.
